Rebecca Bicknell Says Goodbye
Written by Nehemiah Community
Sadly, this month Nehemiah House said, "Good-bye" to long time community member Rebecca Bicknell as she moves on with a new season of her life after accepting a proposal of marriage from Robert Boroski. Rebecca moved to North Carolina to start her new life as a married woman there. Her wedding is slated for January 21st. Prayers for a great job, new spiritual supports, ease of transition, and all that goes along with such a huge life event are appreciated. We love you Rebecca!! And we'll miss you incredibly.
Here's a note from Rebecca...
"Hey Y'All, (yes I am getting into being a southerner!! Hehe!!!)
I was just thinking the other day on how much I have changed since moving into the Nehemiah Community. I smile a whole lot more, I love my job (lol I don't have one right now, but I know that I will love it when I do get it!), I love the people I am around (and the people I am not around now), I have this new self confidence, and a whole lot more about my personality has changed but the best thing that has changed about me is my faith. I have learned that living out my faith is about loving on others even when it is difficult, it is about having solid Christian people around to pray with and to have bible studies with and who can support you in what you do, it is speaking out for people who don't have a voice of their own or when they are just tired of shouting and no one is hearing them. I find myself not being able to sit on the sidelines any more just watching life go by and not caring about the people I am surrounded by. This is the woman you all have helped raise in the 4 years I have been a part of the community. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me in this next chapter of my life! Thank you all for being such a blessing to me and I love you all so very much!!! -Becca"
